All comforts being stripped away as the cold, wet, muddy environment holds the slumped-over figure. Made immobile with a hot, dripping candle sending wax in streams down the back of their thigh. It appears this person has been abandoned, foot tracks in the mud leading away. And yet the soft moss holds them.
